South West

After nearly becoming crazy driving on the Nullarbor, we were more than happy to find beautiful beaches and nice towns.
We drove trough Albany, Esperance, Denmark, Bunburry Busselton and Margaret River.
We loved the Green's Pool beach near Denmark. It is a nice place where you can relax and have a swim.  With its long jetty (1.8 kms) Busselton is a good place to stop.
Margaret River is quite nice even if there’s too much tourists lying on the beach and shopping in town.
Try to avoid School Holidays as the South West is a very popular destination.

Perth

Perth is a friendly and attractive little city with beautiful surroundings. It’s probably one of the best city in Australia…We only had a couple of days here so we walked around and explored the city as far as we could.  We spent few hours on the way looking around Kings Park. We also had a great time in Perth City Beach where the waves were so huge. Bring your board and you will have a lot of fun!

Monkey Mia

Monkey Mia is north of Shark Bay and it's well known for its dolphins, every morning you can see the volunteers feeding the dolphins. We were lucky, because after one working day in a pearl farm in the middle of the ocean, we have seen a dolphin and could swim with him.

Coral Bay and Ningaloo Reef

On the north coast of western australia, we have visited these beautiful and amazing coast of turquoise blue waters. It's the perfect point for diving and snorkelling, the coral is really close to the beach, so you can easily snorkel by yourself and observe all the turtles and multicolor fishes.

On The Road

In Western Australia, it's a bloody long road to go from on town to another. We have seen heaps of road train and red landscape. After a rainy day most of the road are flooded, so we had to wait a couple of hours before the road was cleared.

Working step at Kununurra

Work description

There are plenty of jobs in Kununurra, The picking season (mostly melon and water melon) starts in the middle of may. Picking melon is a really hard job, because you have to bend your back all the day and the temperature in Kununurra can be really high. you can find a job easily with the job shop or Grunt labour service. The last one is better if you want to find a job in a resort or a waitress job. Lea worked as a waitress for 2 days and picked sandalwood for 2 days and Matt picked melon for 5 days.
